On July 3, 2007, I moved into what I call, "The Jackson Estate, " a six acre family property originally purchased by my great grandfather, Daniel Beal (two cleared acres and the rest wooded). Daniel Beal moved to Valdosta from Hahira, Georgia after the land on which he was living was lost in quick claim debt judgement (400 acres owned by my 2nd great grandfather Isaac Miller).
** We are not selling this house. I am fixing it up. ***. This house is a Jim Walters manufactured home purchased by my grandfather, John Beal in 1963. It is less than 900 square feet. It needs a lot of repairs. I am committed to repairing and improving this house without loans, so it will off course take some time. The breaker box needs to be reworked, it needs siding, insulation and much more. Lots of trees and shrubs need to be cut down. Now that I've paid off some things, I can focus on the improvements.
My goal for The Jackson Estate is to make it a recreational spot and reunion space for the family. I envision adding a recreational living space on another part of the property with some kind of adjoining outdoor grill area.
